Why Excellence Quest

Practice that counts, not just clicks.

Trust-verified onboarding

Every school is verified by the Abhigna Trust before students join — no anonymous accounts, no spam quizzes. Principals receive a magic-link sign-in once approved, and provision per-student credentials in minutes. Parents see a known, accountable organisation behind the platform.

Year-round, mastery-paced practice

Students aren't gated to one exam day. They attempt subtopics at their own pace, retake as many times as they need, and the best score per subtopic counts toward the annual marksheet. Unlimited retries means the goal is mastery, not gating.

Recognition that travels

Top-tier students earn certificates with a unique reference number — verifiable, portable, useful for portfolios and school records. The certificate doesn't expire; the reference stays valid even after the student moves schools or graduates.

Four scales of leaderboard

See where each student stands at four levels: their class, their school, a specific topic across India, and the all-India global ranking. Visibility is opt-in — parents and students can hide a name from public boards at any time from the school portal.

Depth before breadth

We took a 7-grade-band taxonomy (LKG to college) and built 120 hand-crafted subtopics with 1,200 questions — pedagogically sound, with distractors that probe real misconceptions and explanations that teach the rule, not just confirm the answer.

Works on any phone

Students sign in on a phone, tablet, or laptop. No app to install. Sessions resume if a kid drops off mid-quiz. Offline-tolerant where it can be. Designed for the realities of an Indian school's varied device landscape.

How it works

Three steps from register to recognise.

01

Schools enrol

Principal registers; trust verifies; school provisions a login per student. Done in under a week.

02

Students quest

Each student attempts timed grammar challenges, climbs leaderboards, earns badges as they go.

03

Marksheets & certificates

Trust publishes school-wide marksheets at year-end; top-tier students earn referenced certificates.

What students get

Six things every student walks away with.

A topic ladder for your grade

Every subtopic in your grade band, ordered so you can climb naturally. Tap 'Take quiz' and the engine samples 10 questions from the active pool.

Instant, explained results

After every quiz, see every question you got wrong, the right answer, and a one-paragraph explanation that teaches the rule — not just confirms the fact.

Badges as you progress

Earn badges for streaks, topic mastery, and peer-group milestones. They appear on your public Student ID page; you can share it with anyone.

Peer groups with friends

Form small groups with classmates, race head-to-head on a subtopic, see who's mastering what. School-scoped or open — your choice.

Resume any quiz, any time

Pause mid-quiz. Come back tomorrow. The engine remembers where you left off — questions you've seen, answers you gave, time remaining.

Your portable Student ID

Every student gets a STU-XXXXXX code that follows them across schools, programs, and years. Your certificates reference this ID. It's yours, forever.

About the Abhigna Trust

An education trust, not a coaching brand.

The Abhigna Trust is a Karnataka-registered education trust founded to support government and aided schools that don't have access to private coaching infrastructure. Excellence Quest is the trust's flagship platform — built so every kid, from an LKG child in Mysore to a Class 12 student in Hubballi, can practise the same questions, climb the same ladder, and earn the same recognised certificate.

“Standardised practice shouldn't be a privilege of private schools. We're here to make it the default.”

— Founding statement, 2024

Mission

Bring rigorous, standardised academic practice within reach of every Indian student — not just the ones in metro coaching circuits.

Method

Partner directly with schools. Verify each one. Make the experience honest: same questions, same scoring, same recognition for every student in every grade.

Measure

What gets measured improves. We measure mastery per subtopic, not pass-fail per exam. Marksheets show the shape of a child's learning, not just the average.

The shape of it

Built for depth before reach.

Frequently asked

The questions principals ask first.

  • Is this another exam on the school calendar?

No fixed exam day. Students attempt subtopics at their own pace within a quest window — typically year-round. Schools choose when their roster is most ready.

  • How does this complement CBSE / state board exams?

It doesn't replace them. Excellence Quest is subject-deep practice plus standardised ranking against same-grade peers nationally — useful as preparation, but graded entirely separately from the school's main academic record.

  • What if our school year ends mid-quest?

The annual marksheet publishes when the quest window closes. Schools can join mid-cycle without penalty; their students start contributing scores from the date of activation.

  • Will my child be ranked publicly?

Public leaderboards (class, school, global, topic) are opt-in. Parents can disable a student's visibility from the school portal. Aggregate marksheets show class averages, not individual rankings.

  • How many times can a student attempt a subtopic?

Unlimited during the quest window. The best score per subtopic counts toward the marksheet. There's no penalty for retries — the goal is mastery, not gating.

  • Are questions available in regional languages?

English Grammar is in English. Kannada Pratibha (Class 1–PUC2) is in Kannada and launches in 2026. Drawing & Creativity has no language. Tamil and Hindi expansions are on the 2027 roadmap.

  • What if our internet is unreliable?

The platform saves student progress as they go; if connection drops mid-attempt, students can reload and resume. Full offline mode is on the 2026 roadmap.

  • When are the 2026 competitions?

School registrations close 31 October 2026. The main competition exam is 15 December 2026 (English Grammar, Kannada Pratibha, Drawing & Creativity). The scholarship exam runs in two stages: Stage 1 on 31 January 2027, Stage 2 on 15 February 2027.

Ready to bring the quest to your students?

Schools verify within 1–2 business days. Individual students can start practising the moment they sign up.
